How To Start A Successful Jokes Website

Joke websites are great, providing people with a good laugh and brighten people’s days is really a noble cause. They are also a great way to make money off of ads like Google Adsense banners and other ad networks as well. So let’s get started shall we?

Step 1: Register a Domain, Get Website Hosting, and a Script.

Register a domain at your favorite domain registrar (Your Domain Registration Company Here), try to find a domain with the keyword “jokes” in it; this will give your visitors a good idea of what to expect before they even go to your website! Next, get good website hosting, I suggest going with HostMonster.com, they have great service, fast servers, and almost perfect reliability! Finally, you will need a script; I suggest getting a free script from evernewscripts.com.

Step 2: Install Advertisements and Promote Your Website.

I suggest installing two to three Google Adsense banners on every page of the website, one skyscraper banner on the left or right side, one just below the header and one just above the footer. This will improve your click through ratio and will skyrocket your earnings per click way up! Next, you will want to promote your website, I suggest paying for ad banners on other joke websites and then of course do some link building, and finish off with finding a few joke related forums and start talking about your website in a few of those! This will produce tons of traffic to your website and will start getting you a nice loyal following of visitors who will direct their friends to your website and keep growing your website till you are on top! Let me give you a few examples of where you should advertise on:

1. aplusjokes.com – Uses Adbrite Advertisements

2. hilariousjokes.co.uk – Uses Google Adsense Ads

3. jokeskafe.com – Uses Google Adsense Ads

Go on each of these websites and look where your ads will be placed, and then I suggest signing up for a Google Adwords account and an Adbrite account and advertise like crazy! This will get you great targeted traffic! Next, here are some examples of joke forums you should sign up for and post a link to your jokes website on:

1. nola.com/forums/joke/

2. clown-forum.com/joke-forum/

3. kiowapilots.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13

Post your newest and funniest jokes on these forums and that will bring you even more targeted traffic! Soon you will be on your way to a very successful and very lucrative website!
