So in this article I will talk about how to make your website successful as well as how to make your website look good and professional. So, let’s get down to business:
Step 1: Register a Domain, Get Website Hosting, and a Script!
First off, register your domain name at your favorite domain registrar (Your Domain Registration Company Here) try to find a domain name with your niche and the keyword “consulting” or “consultant” in the domain name. When choosing a niche, it’s important to make your keyword fairly specific, for example, if you’re a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) consultant, your keyword should be directly related to your topic like SEO, SEM, or eve Search Engine Specialist. Next, gets website hosting, I recommend using HostMonster.com, and they have great service, fast servers, and almost 100% uptime! Finally, last but not least, get a reliable script to run your website off of! I suggest using any sort of content management script like Mambo, Joomla, or even a blog script like WordPress can be morphed into a professional looking consulting website.
Step 2: Make Your Website Look Professional
In this paragraph I will be going over some tips and tricks on how to make your new consulting website look fantastic! First off, one of the most powerful marketing tools that will push plain old visitors to clients is having positive customer reviews on your website. 3. Find something relating to your industry, if you are a money management consultant, find a theme around money
4. Simple is almost always better
Now that you have a fantastic and very smooth website you will need to promote it! So let’s move onto step three.
Step 3: Promote Your Website
Promoting your website is going to be bout Search Engine Optimization (SEO), ironically you may have to outsource this project to a trusted SEO firm. However, I will show you how you can do it yourself! SEO’ing your website is going to be about two things:
1. On-page SEO
2. Off-page SEO
On-page SEO is about setting up Meta tags, title tags, description tags, unique content, and keyword density. Secondly, off-page SEO is about link building. Getting as many as possible quality back links is your primary goal.
